Storyline
Set during the latter half of World War II in Europe, the story follows Private Boyd Travers, a young American paratrooper of the storied 82nd Airborne Division. After training in North Africa, Travers and his fellow soldiers throw themselves into the war from above, parachuting behind enemy lines into some of the conflict's most pivotal campaigns. From the invasion of Sicily and the Italian mainland to the beaches of Normandy, the daring push through the Netherlands, and the final drives into the German heartland, Travers descends into chaos time and again, landing amid flak, gunfire, and shattered towns to strike at the enemy where they least expect it. Rising through the ranks as the fighting grows ever fiercer, he witnesses the courage and sacrifice of the airborne brotherhood firsthand. His journey traces the arc of a citizen soldier hurled into history, fighting to help turn the tide of a war engulfing the world.
