About
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a first-person shooter with single-player and multiplayer modes. It is set in a near future where powered exoskeletons give soldiers enhanced mobility such as boosting, dashing, and jumping, alongside conventional and directed-energy weapons. The campaign follows a single protagonist through a cinematic story, while multiplayer and a wave-based cooperative survival mode build on the exoskeleton movement and a loadout customization system.
Storyline
Set between 2054 and 2061, the story follows Jack Mitchell, a United States Marine who is wounded and discharged after a battle in Seoul. He is recruited by Atlas, a powerful private military corporation led by Jonathan Irons, and given advanced technology to return to the field. As a global terrorist group carries out devastating attacks, Atlas grows into the world's dominant military force, and Mitchell is drawn into operations that raise questions about who is really steering the conflict.
