Hideo Kojima is a Japanese game designer, director, writer and producer whose career began in 1986. He is best known for the Metal Gear series and Death Stranding. His work also includes the adventure games Snatcher and Policenauts, and production roles on Zone of the Enders and Boktai. In December 2015, he established Kojima Productions as an independent studio in Tokyo. The studio released Death Stranding in 2019. Kojima received the BAFTA Fellowship in 2020 in recognition of his contribution to games.
