Hideo Yoshizawa is a game director, designer and writer who directed the Famicom/NES version of Ninja Gaiden, released in 1988. He devised its story and worked on its wall-jumping mechanics, special attacks and enemy placement. He developed its cinematic presentation to connect the action with Ryu Hayabusa’s journey. His career has included work at Tecmo and Namco, with Mighty Bomb Jack, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Mr. Driller among his other projects.
